MVTS II of version 1.3.x released in September 2009 is at the end of its support lifecycle. Starting from July 01, 2011 there will be no bug fixing and patch builds within version 1.3.x. Starting from September 01, 2011 ALOE ends up all technical support services, including consultations, regarding version 1.3.x and older versions.

We recommend our clients still using v.1.3.x and older versions to consider update to version 1.4.1 released in January 2011. Currently used by more than 30 operators all over the world this version proved to be efficient and dependable. The Version Timetable of branch 1.4.1 and the list of Known Issues are available at our Helpdesk in the Knowledgebase section.

To schedule the software update, please submit a ticket to the Helpdesk and specify the date and time convenient for you. The updates start on Wednesday, April 20.

Key features of MVTS II v.1.4.1:

Advanced billing and discount mechanism

New billing and discount mechanism allows users to develop versatile billing policies:
- Changes of rates depending on the volumes of traffic used within a certain period.
- Flexible call cost calculation algorithms.

Blocking of dial peers

New feature enables blocking of dial peers in situations when their ASR, ABR or ACD values drop below predefined thresholds or their peer appeal values exceed allowed maximum.

Traffic Switch category

New category of objects named “Traffic Switch” was added to the web-interface. The objects of this category provide data taken directly from the switching subsystem:
- Active calls – this table shows data about currently active calls.
- Registrations – provides data about equipment currently registered with the MVTS II.
- Active nodes – shows the list of active Traffic Switch nodes and other related data.

Rate change notifications

The rate change notification feature was revised. Now the category of objects “Origination” features the subcategory “Rate changes” that consists of three objects:
- Rate change reports - for manual creation of reports on changes in the rates for destinations.
- Report templates - for creation of report templates used in CSV and XLS files.
- Report schedules - to configure the System for unattended creation of rate change reports.

Installation of version 1.4.1 starts on Monday, January 24. Please submit an update request to the Technical Support department if you are interested in updating to the new version.
